What is our X-ray grid made of?

(X-ray grid)

Recently, a client asked me what the X-ray grid is made of. Generally speaking, the X-ray grid we often use is composed of non-metallic materials, such as wood chips, paper, plastic and other non-metallic low-density materials. The internal gasket is composed of metal material aluminum plate, because this material has high strength and is waterproof.

The thickness of the plate is 4-8mm. The internal structure is formed by the intersection of many thin lead strips. Both leads are fitted with X-ray permeable material and bonded together.
