X ray mammography machine filter grid

The hologic mammography filter grid has a thick 4~8MM plate. The internal structure is formed by focusing many thin lead strips. The lead strip is filled with X-ray material and glued together.

The filter gate is an important part in hologic mammography. Because the tissue density is very close, contrast is very important for mammography.

The increase of scattering lines will undoubtedly reduce the contrast, so the filter grating becomes a very important link in the whole imaging process.
