Structure of fiexed x-ray grid
Fixed X-ray grid acts as a professional filter to block scattered rays and avoid their interference on X-ray films, effectively improving radiographic image quality and definition.
The fixed X-ray grid is designed as a solid plate with a thickness of 4~8mm. Its internal structure is composed of multiple slim lead strips arranged at intervals. The gaps between lead strips are filled with X-ray permeable materials and tightly bonded together. Common filling materials include wood, paper and aluminum sheet. The whole assembly is finally sealed with a thin aluminum panel to form a complete fixed X-ray grid.
From the cross-section view, all lead strips of the filter plate converge toward one focal point. Seen from the overall grid surface, the fixed X-ray grid presents a clear convergence line structure, which ensures better filtering effect and stable imaging performance.
