The influence of X-ray grid on taking chest radiographs

The key factor of the X-ray grid’s influence on filming is to solve the problem of scattered rays, reduce the fog and improve the contrast, and the X-ray machine grid plays a decisive role.
X-ray grid has stronger ability than high-absorption and scattered rays. High-kV chest radiographs have more scatter lines, and chest radiographs are prone to gray. X-ray grids are used for direct digital filming and have the best signal-to-noise ratio, which is suitable for all volts of tube tubes. High-kilovolt chest films have a high degree of fog due to scattered rays, and X-ray grids must be used to eliminate fog during shooting.
The finer the X-ray grid, the better, it can clearly show the texture of the outer lung, because the fine sand-like dust knots are not easy to find when they are distributed outside.
The advantages of our NewheekX wire grid:
(1) Variable size
From the standard 5×7” to 14×51”, it can also be customized according to customer requirements. The size of the grid is one inch larger than the corresponding film size
(2) Variable grid ratio
From 3:1 to 15:1, the grid ratio refers to the ratio of the height of the lead grid to the width of the gap
(3) Focal length range
From standard short focal length (26”-32”), focal length (34”-44”), far focal length (40”-72”, 48”-72” 60”-72”) to infinity (parallel lines)
The deviation in the vertical direction will cause the difference between the focal point to the grid and the convergence distance of the converging grid. This difference is defined as defocus, which can cause a non-uniform decrease in primary radiation transmittance. The primary radiation transmittance will decrease in the direction from the actual centerline to the edge of the X-ray grid .
