However, the thickness of each part of the animal body is different, and it is impossible to make each part of the body parallel to the X-ray film at the same time. At this time, the image projected on the X-ray film will be geometrically distorted.
The function of the wire grid is to filter out the low-energy rays in the continuous wave spectrum and eliminate the softer rays, thereby improving the quality of the rays, making the rays harder and more penetrating.
The purpose of using the grid is to filter the scattered rays from the illuminated object. If the area of the illuminated object is larger and thicker, the scattered rays will be more. Children, especially young children’s tissues are very thin, and grids are not needed.
