X ray grid improves image quality

The use of x ray grid can improve the image quality and diagnosis of chest X ray.
Over the years, the x ray grid has been positively correlated with the improvement of radiographic contrast, but negatively correlated with the increase of patient dose.
As radiographers, we know that the whole purpose of using x ray grid in radiography is to reduce scattering radiation and thus increase the contrast of radiography. Therefore, the use of x ray grid with higher ratios and higher frequencies can eliminate more scattered radiation, which can improve the contrast better than low ratios and low frequencies filter grids. However, higher gate ratio requires more technology to penetrate, which increases the overall dose of the patient. But the dose increase cycle is more effective than image quality improvement than risk.
