How should the grid be used?

The lead foil strip, which is the main constituent material of the grid, reduces the sensitivity of the film, and the tube voltage makes up for this shortcoming of the grid.

Since the main constituent material of the grid is a lead foil strip, it blocks the scattering line and inevitably blocks a part of the original emission line, which reduces the sensitivity of the film to some extent, so that the grid is not used in photography. To properly increase the exposure conditions, increase the tube voltage to increase the X–ray penetration ability to achieve the purpose of compensation. The specific compensation data should be combined with clinical use. Under normal circumstances, the low grid ratio grid is suitable for low kV tube voltage; the high grid ratio is suitable for high kV tube voltage.
