During X-ray exposure, scattered radiation is generated when rays hit objects. These scattered rays create haze on images, reduce contrast and hide subtle anatomical details. An anti-scatter grid consists of precise lead strips and interspace materials. It blocks most angled scattered rays while letting primary useful rays pass through.
