Shanghai customer consulted our company’s x ray grid

A customer from Shanghai consulted our company’s x ray grid and wanted to know about the defocus of the convergent x ray grid. Let’s give you a brief introduction.

The vertical distance between the convergence line of the absorption grid plane and the incident surface in the convergence grid. Our convergence grid can meet your requirements.

The convergent x ray grid is the plane of each absorption grid, which converges into a straight line at the specified convergence distance. If the focal point of the X-ray tube is on a virtual straight line, since the projection of the absorption x ray grid on the image receiving area is the smallest, the primary radiation transmittance is the largest.

Any deviation of the focal point from the virtual straight line at the convergence distance will cause the projection of the absorption grid to increase on the image receiving area and thus reduce the primary radiation transmittance. This deviation can be perpendicular and/or parallel to the plane of the anti-scatter x ray grid.

The deviation in the vertical direction will cause the difference between the focal point to the x ray grid and the convergence distance of the converging grid. This difference is defined as defocus, which can cause a non-uniform decrease in primary radiation transmittance. The primary radiation transmittance will decrease in the direction from the actual centerline to the edge of the x ray grid.
